***** a lil' story *****

And with her haunting melody, the very core of her soul, she made her master fall into a deep slumber with the help of her violin.
The tune she knew so well, spreading effortlessly from the strings and capturing him in a grip he could not fight.

She was stronger than him, always had been.

His dark gray eyes were fixed on hers, with the coldest of looks he had ever given,
with a frightening warning that he would one day make her pay.
His eyes finally closed, and she could breathe again,
feeling the invisible strings letting go of the very curse that bound her to his mansion.
Knowing that she could never stop, she turned around and kept life in the beautiful melody without skipping a beat.
Out of the room, down the dark flight of stairs and into the living room,
her pulse racing as she closed in on the door leading her out.
She paused only for a brief moment to open it, and then she was out.
The cold wind of autumn greeted her, her eyes watering at the marvelous feeling.
Her hair swirled in the wind, goosebumps rippling across her skin.
The clear moonlight glowed so wonderfully bright — and in it's strange, yet comforting warmth, she felt born anew.

She carried the melody with her, knowing that once she stopped he would come for her.
